I wonder do you think x11 have any future with XLibre, Xorg, SSX and the future Pheonix Server. If not how can I make so I do not have to switch to Wayland ? Should I Learn C to contribute ?
Surely X11 has a future. If there is a feature that is not available, there are X11 extensions. It is a very well designed protocol, and won’t die out as long as UNIX-likes are still a thing.
Some Xservers are stopping the work of maintaining, but others like ssX seem promising.
