Is it even possible to use GNU/Linux without Nonfreedesktop.org?

It seems like every day another GNU/Linux package requires fd.o software. See: Mesa, DRM, etc.

Hurd doesn’t seem to have any fd.o dependencies(?), so you are still able to use Emacs on the Hurd without nonfreedesktop.

The Linux kernel, I think requires some fd.o packages too, not sure though.

yes, but you will need to make your own distro and env and apps.

Alright. It would be nice if there was a distro which had 0 Nonfreedesktop packages though.
