In this topic I will put tiny announcements about server maintenance that I do. You can mute the topic if you aren’t interested.
Generally Linux Renaissance infrastructure, currently, consists of OPNsense firewall with Caddy reverse proxy. Behind the proxy I have several similar servers with different CPU/RAM/SSD configurations:
Upgraded all Linux servers today. Ubuntu Server 26.04 has had an issue where it was unable to reboot on VMware host. I removed multipath tools and dracut. This solved the problem of being unable to reboot after clean install. Strange.
PeerTube is now up to date.
Discourse is now up to date.
Matrix server is now up to date.
There was a half an hours downtime with the forum because it failed to rebuild. I could not find a cause so I tried to rebuild it again and then it succeeded just fine. Works now.
is the openBSD server on your ThinkPad or a Desktop PC ?
Neither. All my infrastructure is 6 rented VPS machines.
