I planned the move from pika os to debian sid. Pika OS is great but it comes with a bunch of opinionated things. Nothing bad in my opinion but more than i need on a laptop. I am running it on my gaming pc with no issues as well.
But, i have taken some time this weekend to move from pika to debian - I have an extra laptop hanging around and first made sure that I could get Niri and DMS working - quickshell had to get installed manually as some of the dms sources won’t work for me, but i did get it up and running and it feels good. Now just will make time this week to get my daily driver on it and up and running. I had run into some of these snags before and just went to fedora(everything) and installed from there. Determination to run debian has taken over however, and i just had to get it working. Hopefully this time next week, I’m completely moved over.
